Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enroll?

You can enroll for your free introductory class on our website or here.  Once enrolled, you can log in to your account to purchase a class package that works best for your family. *Enroll as the parent. It is not necessary to make separate accounts for your child(ren).

How do I sign up for a class?

Whether it’s a single class or classes included in your class package, you can sign up for a class directly on our website. After enrolling, log in and select the upcoming class you would like to participate in.  You will receive an email confirmation of your sign up.  If the class is full you can be added to the waitlist (you will receive a notification if I spot opens up for you). Our schedule of classes can be viewed on our website under “Classes for Littles”.

*For siblings, you can sign in twice online for one class (will deduct two classes from your class package if using this option).

Which classes can I sign up for?

Classes for Littles assigned to a specific age group are limited to children in those age groups, however we do recognize that infants and toddlers develop at different paces, so please read the class descriptions to determine which classes are the best fit.  Please note The Little Place offers special series of classes (like Engineering for Kids or Advanced Art sessions, etc.) for separate pricing. Pricing is indicated with class descriptions.

Can another adult take my child to a class without me?

Sometimes you may want to have your little ones attend a class with another parent, family member, or caregiver.  Have the new adult check in (please bring ID) and complete a waiver prior to the first class.  A second adult guest may attend a class if space permits. Adults are considered individuals 18 years and older.

Can an older sibling help out?

Sure! Older siblings can attend class with an adult if space permits.  For those much younger siblings: Infants (non-crawlers) who are worn or who remain in a carrier may be brought into class.

What happens if I need to cancel a class?

We understand things come up with our little ones! Especially if your child is sick, do not bring your child to class.  If you are not able to attend a class for which you have sign up for, we request that you cancel yourself out of that class at least 12 hours before the class start time. Canceling out of the class allows a person from the waitlist to be move up into the class, therefore, the 12 hour time frame provides enough time to be able to attend. No shows without cancellation will not be refunded or restored. You will be unable to cancel online up up to 30 minutes before your class. Please call if you need to cancel less than 30 minutes from your class or open playtime.

If The Little Place needs to cancel a class due to low enrollment, we will try to accommodate an Open Playtime during that same time for those that signed up. All classes cancelled by The Little Place will be refunded or restored.

Which classes can enrolled siblings attend together?

Siblings in which the older child is on the move, can only participate together in the mixed age classes such as the Little Tunes Music class, as well as Open Playtime and some other special classes offered.  If the younger sibling is in a carrier or worn, he/she may attend the individual class of the older sibling. Classes in which parents do not participate in the class (such as Little Ballerinas, Creative Dance, Little Sports, etc.), can be with a parent while observing class from the side.

Can I take pictures?

Feel free to take photos during class, though we try to encourage parents to limit their picture-taking as it can get in the way of the experience. Pictures of class activities may end up on social media sites and may be used for The Little Place advertising and promotional purposes. If for any reason you prefer that we not use pictures of you or your child, please let us know immediately. Names will never be identified unless given permission.

Can I just pay for Open Playtime?

Yes, parents can sign up for an Open Playtime session. We recommend signing up online to reserve a spot, but we accept walk-ins if space permits.  You must sign up twice to the playtime for multiple siblings (purchase two open playtimes- or three, etc.)

Open Playtime is for all ages. Please keep an eye on older children around the younger children. Siblings under 6 months old are free. No extra charge for parents.

Can I drop off my child to play?

Parents or guardians must be with their child during any parent/child classes and all Open Playtime. For art classes and art camps/series for the older kids, parents do not need to be on site during class time. Any specific events where drop off is allowed will be announced and indicated with the event description.

What should I wear to class?

Dress comfortably! Children may be barefoot or wear socks.  All adults must wear socks during class.

Can I bring food?

Food is allowed at The Little Place but is limited to the front lobby with the exception of breast milk or formula.  We also have a refrigerator for any milk storage. Please ask an employee for help. Due to the number of food allergies, we ask that you not bring any peanut products into our center. All children and parents must wipe down/ wash their hands prior to the start of class or Open Playtime if they just ate. Please talk to a staff member if you have any other food allergy concerns.

Please help us out and let us know if any mats and toys need to be wiped down during play due to toys in mouth, drool, etc.!  We have cleaning products handy around the facility that can be used anytime, or bring attention to our staff who will be happy to help clean up.
